Securus Technologies Busting Drones

Securus Technologies recently completed a pilotless drone detection program. The program, which took 18 months, was deemed a success in an early 2018 release by the prison technology company. Securus will continue to test its technology, which uses Digital Antennae Structure (DAS) to triangulate the presence of drones in and around corrections facilities.

In recent years criminals have increased the use of drones to deliver illegal contraband to prisons and jails. The types of contrabands that can be delivered by drones are innumerable and include drugs, cell phones, weapons, and money.
