Huge ‘Back To The Future’ 30th Anniversary Celebration On The Horizon

After 30 years, the ‘Back to the Future’ is coming back to the forefront with big news and no, it’s not for the release of a forth installment.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced on July 16th that a 30th anniversary Blu-Ray set would be released which would include all three movies, the animated series, and a 64 page book with information from the movies detailed inside. All the contents are sealed inside a handy light up “Flux Capacitor” box for the movie fans and collectors out there. Along with that, a new anniversary edition of the vinyl soundtrack will be released in physical and digital copies on October 16th, 2015.

If that wasn’t enough, UPHE also announced that ‘Back to the Future’ would be making a huge theater return. This isn’t for a forth installment, though. They decided that they would show the original trilogy in theaters for one day only – October 21st, 2015 – which happens to be the same day that the Blu-Ray collection is being released. The showtime and theater details aren’t available at the moment, as the event is still a few months out, but for those that are interested, continue checking local listings for showtimes.
