On the other hand, employees who have poor productivity levels should once again be gently reminded of why they had been hired and how their lack of efforts could be affecting the organization. Depending upon the severity of their non-productivity, you could also schedule sessions with HR or training to determine what could be done for them.

Marcio Alaor Explains David Neeleman’s TAP

The Portuguese airline, Transportes Aereos Portugueses (TAP), was wholly owned by the government of Portugal until David Neeleman bought a 61% share of it in 2015. He announced plans to complete a buyout of the airline from Portugal by 2018. Marcio Alaor, the CEO of BMG bank released a favorable report about the amazing Mr. Neeleman and his adventurous exploits. He notes that David Neeleman has had a very creative, innovative, and successful career in spite of a sometimes debilitating problem with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

As Mr. Alaor explains his interest in investing in the newly privatized airline, he outlines how the deal came out of a partnership between David Neeleman and Humberto Pedrosa, a prominent Portuguese businessman who owns the Barraqueiro Group. The two formed Atlantic Gateway, the consortium that dealt with the Portuguese government. David Neeleman is also the owner of WestJet in Canada and both JetBlue and Morris Air in the United States.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1959, David Neeleman is of American and Dutch descent. His family moved to the United States in 1964. Marcio Alaor finds the man quite a curious genius in aviation. This is because the man has always battled with problems caused by his ADD. Mr. Neeleman has always had problems studying books and learning in the traditional, linear manner. His grades in school were at best middling. He dropped out of the University of Utah after struggling there for 3 years, according to Mr. Alaor. Mr. Neeleman refuses to take ADD medication because of the negative side effects. Nevertheless, David Neeleman has steadily worked to overcome the debilitating effects of ADD to become a major player in the world airline industry.

Mr. Neeleman started his high flying airline experience with the founding of Morris Air in 1984 on a “no frills” low-cost model. The first flights were only made to Hawaii, followed by new routes to Los Cabos, Cancun, and Orlando, Florida. He sold the airline in 1993 for $130 million dollars to Southwest Airlines, which also practiced “no frills” to keep passenger ticket prices low.

Marcio Alaor has applied his own innovations to BMG that have grown the bank to become a prime institution in Brazil and throughout South America. Part of this success came from his understanding of new banking technologies that he has leveraged to lead BMG into the market areas of the 21st century. He has done this while also keeping to the traditions that have made BMG a great bank in the past.

George Soros Suggestions of German Immigration

For the past fifty years, one of the most well regarded economic minds in the world has been George Soros. George Soros is best known for being the head of Soros Fund Management and being a lead advisor to Quantum Fund. Through his investments in these funds and other businesses, he has accumulated a net worth of around $25 billion.

Due to his lengthy industry experience, Soros is often looked to for his opinion on different current events and situations that are impacting the global markets. One situation that has had an impact on markets across the globe, particularly those markets in Europe, has been the migrant situation in Germany. While the Syrian migrant situation is largely considered a social issue, some believe that it could lead to social and economic issues in Germany and also put the entire European Union at risk.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel made international news last year when it was announced that Germany would have an open door policy for allowing Syrian refugees to enter the country. While there is obvious concern for Syrian citizens due to the rampant civil war, the risk of increased terrorist activity due the extremists leaving the county has led many countries to create laws disallowing the migration and immigration of Syrian refugees.

While Germany was recently supportive of Merkel’s decision, the approval of Syrian refugees has continued to decline. The recent terrorist attacks in Paris have only added to the disapproval. To make matters worse for Germans, many other countries in Europe have taken measures to prevent refugees from entering their countries, which has only led to more people to immigrate to Germany.

George Soros believe that this stress on Germany could lead to tensions with other countries in the EU, which could eventually lead to a weakening union or lead to an entire dissolution. While there is plenty of risk for this to occur, he has pointed out that there is still time for this to be prevented. However, in order for this to be prevented, it will be up to Angela Merkel and the rest of Germany to ensure that the union stays strong and unified on this matter.

One suggestion that he has come up with is to extend the current immigration and asylum plan beyond the borders of just Germany and Europe. This will help to reduce the economic load that comes with taking on so many additional residents of each additional country.
